A lightning strike killed six people while eight others sustained injuries in Tharparkar district, Sindh.
The lighting struck near Mithi, the capital of Tharparkar District, while heavy rains were reported in Islamkot, Nagarparkar, and in their surrounding areas.
According to the police, the accident took place near the nearby village of VediJhap.
As per the detail, more than 100 pilgrims were going to Verhi Jhap from Mithi when the thunderbolt struck.
The ambulances were sent to the spot of the incident and an emergency was declared in the Civil Hospital Mithi.
As reported, the unpaved road made the operation difficult for the rescue forces.
The bodies of the deceased and injured were moved to Civil Hospital Mithi.
Moreover, heavy rain and thunderstorms wreaked havoc in Larkana.
A similar incident of thunder strike in the Kambar-Shahdadkot district during the rainfall claimed three lives last year.
