The rate of liquified petroleum gas (LPG) has been increased by Rs13.20 per kg! The new rate is applicable with an immediate effect.
The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Monday issued the notification of the LPG price hike.
OGRA says that LPG prices have been increased due to a surge in gas rates in the global market.
According to the notification, the LPG price has been hiked by Rs13.20 per kg.
The 11.8 kilos domestic LPG cylinder has become costlier by Rs155.80.
With the increase in price per kg, LPG will now cost Rs216.89 and the domestic cylinder will be available at Rs2,559.35.
In October, the price of a domestic cylinder was Rs2,403.55.
In the last six months, LPG prices have seen a 53% increase.
Earlier this year in May, a cylinder, for domestic use was available at the cost of Rs1,572 which surged over Rs2,000 by October.
