Eversince the Indian atrocities have turned more severe (not that they were any less earlier) in Kashmir, the people of Pakistan haven’t been quiet.
Be it the government, the opposition, the celebrities or general public, everyone is vocally condemning the Indian act of occupation and torture in Kashmir.
A rather influential figure from Pakistan, who moves in the circle of UN and is friends with people and leaders the world over, Malala Yousafzai was however found to be mum about the entire issue and people noticed.
However, perhaps it was the cue from people when they tagged Malala or something else that has finally promopted her to open up, Malala Yousafzai too commented on the situation in Kashmir and how it needs to be looked into immediately.
“The people of Kashmir have lived in violence since I was a child. For seven decades the children of Kashmir have grown up amidst violence,” wrote Malala.
Adding further the youngest Nobel Peace Prize laureate stated, ” I care about Kashmir because South Asia is my home.”
“Today I am worried about the safety of Kashmiri children and women, the most vulnerable to violence and most likely to suffer lossess in conflict,” added Malala.
Urging authorities to look into the matter vigilantly, Malala stated, “I hope all South Asians, the international community and concerned authorities respond to their suffering. Whatever disagreements that we may have, we must always defend human rights, priorities the safety of women and children and focus on peacefully resolving the seven decades old conflict in Kashmir.”
