The siege, which has lasted over 60 days, includes a halt to all humanitarian aid such as food, fuel, and medicine entering Gaza.

Pakistan’s Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has renewed her call for a permanent ceasefire in Gaza amid the ongoing humanitarian crisis caused by Israel’s siege on the Gaza Strip.
She described the situation as “heartbreaking,” highlighting the worsening conditions faced by Palestinian children, including starvation and death, and called for immediate aid and relief.
Sharing the New York Times report on the devastating impact of Israel’s siege on Gaza, Nobel Peace Prize laureate Malala Yousafzai has once again urged for a permanent ceasefire.
“Heartbreaking,” she wrote on her Instagram story. Palestinian children in Gaza are enduring worsening starvation and death. I pray for their safety and future. We need immediate aid, relief, and a lasting ceasefire,” she added.
The siege, which has lasted over 60 days, includes a halt to all humanitarian aid such as food, fuel, and medicine entering Gaza.
This blockade has led to severe shortages, with doctors in Gaza struggling to find medicine for patients with treatable conditions, many of whom are dying due to a lack of supplies.
The director general of Gaza’s health ministry has expressed his helplessness in the face of these shortages.
“There’s no advice I can give them,” he says. “In most cases, those patients die.”
