The federal government on Monday transferred the services of JUI-F chief Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother Zia-ur-Rehman, back to Khyber Pakhtunkhwa after facing much criticism.
Maulana Fazlur Rehman’s brother was appointed deputy commissioner of Karachi’s District Central.
He had been transferred from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and has replaced Farhan Ghani, an officer of Ex-PCS (BS-19).
The KP government had requested the Establishment Division (ED) to transfer Rehman’s services back to the provincial government from Sindh due to a “shortage of cadre officers and services.”
“The provincial government is facing [a] shortage of cadre officers and services of [the] said officer are required for posting in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. It is, therefore, requested to kindly repatriate the services of the officer accordingly,” read a notification from the KP government.
