Famous Pakistani Islamic scholar has condemned the horrendous Sialkot incident in which a mob beat the Srilankan national factory manager to death alleging blasphemy.
“The incident of burning a foreigner alive under the guise of honoring the Prophet in Sialkot is very sad. It is against Islamic teachings to take the law into one’s own hands on the basis of a mere accusation,” he said
“There is no place for violence and extremism in Islam. Scholars should play a positive role in preventing extremism,” Maulana said.
Sialkot lynching became a day of shame for Pakistan drawing the nation’s ire.
