Meesha Shafi deactivates her social media accounts after bullying, threats and slander
We all have witnessed the recent whirlpool amid to sexual harassment allegations made by Meesha Shafi on fellow singer Ali Zafar.
Now, Meesha did use social media as a medium to announce her side of story but weeks into the story, Shafi has now deactivated her social media accounts relaying bullying, threats and slander as the cause.

While talking to the media, Shafi herself clarified the reason for doing so. Meesha mentioned that her accounts have been deactivated for obvious reasons. “The abuse, threats, bullying and slander that I have faced is the reason I felt the strong need to protect not just myself but my family, especially my two young children who were also being subjected to personal attacks online”, added the Aya Laariye star.
After facing a lot of criticism Meesha also made her point that, “I now know what it takes to speak the truth. But I chose to stand up alone, and I’m not judging anyone”.
On question of what is going to be her next step, Meesha clarified that since she has appointed her legal advisors, they will be looking after this matter in legal field. It was prior that Ali Zafar has sent her legal notice for defamation and false accusations.
