Meesha Shafi fails to appear and submit her reply in second hearing of Rs1 billion defamation case by Ali Zafar

Second hearing of Meesha Shafi and Ali Zafar case was held at session’s court in Lahore. Once again asking singer turned actor Meesha Shafi to reply to Rs1 billion defamation case filed against her by Ali Zafar however, Shafi not only failed to submit a reply, she failed to appear in the court altogether.
It’s been directed by the Additional Sessions Judge Shehzad Ahmed to paste the court’s notice seeking Shafi’s reply to be pasted on the gate of her residence as she fails to appear before the court. Meesha Shafi has been given till August 13 to submit her reply in the case.
While appearing before the court, Ali Zafar said, “Meesha leveled false allegations of harassment against me for publicity. My name has been tainted worldwide owing to her false allegations”. It was further requested by the Teefa In Trouble actor to the court to direct Meesha to pay Rs1 billion in defamation.
It was last month when Ali Zafar submitted a defamation suit to a district court against Meesha, claiming damages of Rs1 billion, filed under the Defamation Ordinance 2002.
