Actor Mehwish Hayat seems to be in habit of keeping a keen eye on international news and current affairs other than entertainment.
After the killing of Iranian Military commander Soleimani, starlet on Friday took to social media condemning the act.
Expressing her thoughts, Mehwish in a tweet wrote, “Can’t believe that just 72 hours into 2020 & the world is already teetering on the edge of war. I guess this is what happens when the “leader of the free world” takes unilateral decisions without regard for international laws. This isn’t just about Iran &USA. God protect us”.
One of Mehwish’s followers was astonished to see her talking about politics and commented to her tweet saying, “Since when women started understanding international affairs”.
And there was a befitting reply form the Punjab Nahi Jaon Gi starrer towards the comment. She said, “Joan of Arc, Cleopatra, Margaret Thatcher, Benazir Bhutto to name a few! It’s about time you come out of that little hole you’re living in and smell the coffee”.
Mehwish Hayat is not only a good actress, but she’s also a vocal advocate for girl’s rights and firmly believes in the causes she fights for. The actress, a Tamgha e Imtiaz winner is also a hardcore Pakistani at heart, standing firm for the country on all international and domestic platforms.
