Melania Trump votes ‘mask less’ in person, raises eyebrows

There is a mask mandate in Palm Beach County, however, the First lady Melania Trump who opted to vote in person, has raised few eyebrows! She was the only person not wearing a mask, when there is a mask mandate in Palm Beach County.

The First Lady, who contracted COVID-19 a few weeks ago, stepped out Tuesday morning to cast her vote in Florida, opting to waive a face mask and to not accompany her husband, Donald Trump in Washington DC.

She waved and smiled to reporters. “It’s Election Day, so I wanted to come here to vote today for the election,” First Lady told a small group of journalists who were cleared by the Secret Service to see her.

As beign reported, she stopped in at the voting center built at the Barbara Mandel Recreation Centre in Palm Beach, Florida, close to President Donald Trump’s Mar-a-Lago resort, around 10am local time.

She was accompanied by Secret Service agents, aides and the county’s supervisor of elections, Wendy Sartory Link, who all appeared to be wearing masks.

Over the concerns raised, Ms Trump’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham responded by saying that “the first lady was the only person at the polling site, with the exception of a couple of poll workers and her own staffers, all of whom were tested”.

Grisham said no one was near the first lady “because of social distancing and the privacy” people received when they voted.
