#MeraJismMeriMarzi: Khalilur Rehman Qamar, Marvi Sirmed steep to another moral and ethical low during a live TV show

It was a live news talk show airing on Neo Tv, with the participants invited to talk on the latest hot topic of the country, Aurat March 2020.

And the talk turned a bit nasty with writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar and activist Marvi Sirmed started to swear on each other without realizing that they were appearing on national television being watched by millions, or say thousands during the live transmission.

And those who were deprived of watching the indecent spat live, the clip circulating in the social media is doing the deed.

And public opinion trending online along with the hashtags #khalilurrehmanqamar, #MeraJismMeriMarzi, #AuratMarch2020, Marvi showcases the mindset of society.

If you haven’t seen the clip here have a look:

Not including the duration of the whole program, this bickering seems to have been transmitted live for almost 2 minutes and hats off the showrunners who allowed it to go on air with the anchor who could not understand the swearing words coming out from the participants of the panel discussion.

Well, that must have generated some ratings as our society loves to watch brawls and catfights and X-rated language.

But here we would like to give credit to all of them for showing a clear picture of our society. They successfully managed to bring the representation of every segment, Where an educated class of women is keen to hold a march claiming it to be Women’s Rights. and on the other hand pseudo-intellectual kind of writer who is famous for creating immoral famous dialogues   “2 Takkay Ki Aurat” can swear on women with any respect.

Looking at the credits, the third guest was a senator, lawmaker, who kept listening to all this s***, while the host tried to intervene but could not stop them from steeping low.  And people in the PCR must be having a ball, letting things go on air without cutting the audio or camera, aiming for high ratings.

The nasty spat is trending today, just like the public enjoys the street fight when two cars hit and divers in the middle of the road fight like madmen.

No respect for women, no respect for the profession, no moral and ethical values, that’s what we have become as a nation.

And after last night’s episode, everyone is swearing at the writer Khalilur Rehman Qamar on social media,

but my dear, as the phrase goes, “The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars / But in ourselves, that we are underlings.” (Julius Caesar, Act I, Scene III, L. 140-141).
