#MeToo India: Subhash Ghai accused of rape and Sajid Khan of sexual harassment

Under the ongoing wave of #MeToo movement in India, there have been some more sexual harassment allegations. An anonymous woman has opened up against filmmaker Subhash Ghai, alleging him of rape. The shocking revelations are being circulated on social media in various posts.

Subhash Ghai in a statement said, “As I hear some allegation made against me in the air from section of media. It’s very sad that it’s becoming a fashion to malign anyone known, bringing some stories from past without any truth or half-truth, if at all. I deny strictly and firmly all false allegations like these. I will go for defamation certainly.”

Famous director and host Sajid Khan has also been accused of sexual harassment by as many as three women recently that include actor Rachel White, assistant director Saloni Chopra and journalist Karishma Upadhyay.

Actress Saloni Chopra called out Sajid for his indecent behaviour while she was working with him as an assistant director. Another actress Rachel White came out in her support and recounted her horrible experience of meeting the filmmaker once for a role at his home. She in a series of tweet has also shared her personal story.

Another woman has come forward after these allegations.

Famous Indian actor Akshay Kumar has cancelled the shooting of his upcoming film ‘Houseful 4’ scheduled to take place today. This came after in response to the sexual harassment allegations against the co-actor Nana Patekar and director Sajid Khan.
