Chairman and Printer Publisher Jang Group, Javedur Rehman passes away in Karachi

Chairman and Printer Publisher Jang Group, Mir Javedur Rehman breathed his last in Karachi on Tuesday after fighting a long battle with lung cancer, local media reported.

As per reports surfacing on media, Mir Javed was undergoing treatment in Karachi and was in the Intensive Care Unit of a private hospital.

The deceased was the elder brother of Mir Shakil ur Rehman,  the editor-in-chief of Jang Group and Geo News and older son of Mir Khalil ur Rehman, the founder of Jang Group.

Mir Shakil, who is currently under NAB’s custody in Lahore, was not allowed to meet his ailing brother, according to a senior journalist Hamid Mir.

He has now been given permission by NAB to travel to Karachi for the final rites of his brother.

Condolences have started pouring in from top political figures, media personnel, and journalists across the country on the demise of Mir Javed.
