Safdar Awan tests positive for COVID-19

Captain (retd) Muhammad Safdar Awan, the spouse of PML-N Vice-President Maryam Nawaz, has tested positive for COVID-19.

Ali Yousufzai, spokesperson for the PML-N’s youth wing in a statement said that he has been admitted to the Sharif Medical City Hospital in Lahore and his condition is said to be satisfactory,

He was in Gilgit-Baltistan along with Maryam Nawaz to campaign for the PML-N for the upcoming elections.

Reportedly, he returned to Lahore on Sunday and took the coronavirus test.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that PPP leader Qamar Zaman Kaira has also contracted the virus, who had also been to Gilgit-Baltistan for the election campaigns.
