More than 1000 Pakistanis from Sudan safely evacuated, Foreign Office said.
The safe evacuation of more than one thousand Pakistanis from Sudan has been successfully completed, Foreign Office announced on Tuesday.
Sharing the development, FO notified that the evacuations through Jeddah will continue until the last Pakistani returns safely home.
“By Allah’s grace and tireless efforts of our embassy in Khartoum led by Amb Regi, supported by Saudi Arabia and China, and our teams in Jeddah and Islamabad, we have successfully & safely evacuated over 1000 Pakistanis out of Sudan. With this, our evacuation operations out of Sudan have ended.” FO said in a brief statement.
Meanwhile, Foreign Secretary Asad Majeed Khan in a separate tweet said that “the number of Pakistanis evacuated from Sudan is 1,025”.
A third batch of 97 Pakistani nationals from Port Sudan arrived at Jinnan International Airport, Karachi via Jeddah aboard PAF aircraft C-130 on April 29.
