MQM-P’s six leaders acquitted in provocative speech case by ACT

MQM-P’s six leaders were acquitted in a provocative speech case by ACT on Wednesday.

The cases were registered against the MQM-P leaders at different police stations in Karachi back in 2016.

As reported, an Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Karachi acquitted six accused including former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Farooq Sattar in three cases of inflammatory speech.

The court also acquitted MQM-P leaders Waseem Akhtar, Khawaja Izharul Hassan, Javed Rahim, Mehmood Abdul Razzaq, and Amir Khan.

While Abdur Rauf Siddiqui and Qamar Mansoor have been acquitted in one case each while Salman Mujahid Baloch was acquitted in two cases.

The cases were registered against the party leaders over making, facilitating, and listening to provocative and contentious speeches by MQM founder  Altaf Hussain.
