Najam Sethi resigns from the post of Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) chairman

Najam Sethi has announced his resignation from the post of Pakistan Cricket Board “PCB” Chairman. The announcement came out as he tweeted from his account, stating, “I was waiting for the new Prime Minister to take oath before submitting my resignation as PCB Chairman, which I have done today. I wish PCB all the best and hope our cricket team goes from strength to strength. Eid Mubarak. Pakistan Zindabad”.

He also shared the copy of his resignation letter, which is also being circulated on various media including social media as well. Najam Sethi is also the head of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) and also made efforts for bringing international cricket back to Pakistan’s home ground.
According to the latest development Ehsan Mani has been appointed as the new PCB chairman by PM Imran Khan, as the decision was shared in a tweet.
I have appointed Ehsan Mani as Chairman PCB. He brings vast and valuable experience to the job. He represented PCB in the ICC; was Treasurer ICC for 3 yrs and then headed the ICC for another 3 yrs.

Ehsan Mani became the PCB’s representative to the ICC back in 1989. He played a key role in the organisation of the 1996 World Cup, and has also served on the Asian Cricket Council.
