Nation celebrates 73rd Independence Day as Kashmir Solidarity Day
The nation is celebrating the 73rd Independence Day today with the zeal and traditional enthusiasm, and for this year the day is being especially celebrated to express full support to the Kashmir and the people of Kashmir who are reeling from renewed Indian repression.
The day has begun with 31 gun-salute in federal and 21-gun salute in the provincial capitals at dawn, along with the special prayers for the safety and sovereignty of the country.
National and Kashmiri flags are being hosted at the government and private buildings nationwide.
President of Pakistan Arif Alvi and Prime Minister Imran Khan, along with other Pakistani politicians and leaders have expressed solidarity with the Kashmiris and have said that the whole nation is supporting the Kashmiri people and reiterated the stance to extend political, diplomatic and moral support to them at all forums.

President Dr. Arif Alvi while addressing the flag hoisting ceremony at the convention center in Islamabad said that Pakistan has always stood with Kashmiris and would continue to do so.
Pakistan stands with the people of Indian occupied Jammu & Kashmir and exhibits its complete support for their human, civil and legal rights.
The government of Pakistan on Saturday has revealed a special logo for the Independence Day to express solidarity with the people of Occupied Kashmir.
