Former PM Nawaz Sharif refused to go abroad.
Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday has refused to go the United Kingdom for medical treatment after he was granted ‘conditional permission’ by the government to remove his name from the Exit Control List (ECL).
According to the details, a one-and-a-half-hour meeting was held at Jati Umra between the former premier and his brother, Shehbaz Sharif after which the decision was taken.
The representatives of PML-N, later conveyed the decision to the cabinet’s subcommittee late on Tuesday night.

The subcommittee reserved its decision on the matter till Wednesday, giving the PML-N and National Accountability Bureau (NAB) time to submit their final responses on the matter. It is still unclear whether the Sharif brothers will leave for London or not.
Earlier on Tuesday, the federal cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Imran Khan decided to remove Nawaz Sharif’s name from the Exit Control List (ECL), if he agrees to sign surety bonds that he would return after treatment from abroad.
The cabinet’s subcommittee has reserved its verdict on whether Nawaz Sharif’s name will be taken out from ECL or not.
The subcommittee will announce its decision today.
