Nawaz Sharif discharged from Services Hospital after 16 days

Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has been discharged from Services Hospital after 16 days.

A special medical unit has been established at Jati Umra for the treatment of Nawaz Sharif.

Nawaz Sharif has changed his mind to discharge from the Lahore Services Institute of Medical Sciences on Tuesday evening.

The former premier spent the night at the hospital as he was earlier discharged from SIMS on his request.

Sharif was to be shifted to Sharif Medical City Hospital, but since the release orders for his daughter Maryam Nawaz could not be obtained from Lahore High Court, so he decided to delay his leaving from the hospital so the two could leave together.

Earlier, an ambulance reached Services Hospital to shift Nawaz Sharif to Sharif Medical City Hospital after a medical check-up was done which showed that his platelet count has further dropped to 30,000.

The medical board at Services Hospital has advised to carry out a genetic test of the former premier to diagnose his ailment.

Nawaz Sharif was under-treatment at Services Hospital for over 14 days.

Sources said that Nawaz Sharif’s genetic test can also be performed in Pakistan; meanwhile, the reports will be finalized within seven days after the test date.

Following the deteriorated health of ex-prime minister, federal interior minister Ijaz Shah hinted to allow him to fly abroad for medical treatment.

Ijaz Shah said that if going abroad for treatment was the only option for Nawaz then the government would ‘find a way’.

The minister prayed for Nawaz’s health and expressed his good wishes for him.
