Former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif joins Twitter

Former Prime Minister of Pakistan, Nawaz Sharif— who has currently been residing in London, ever since he was permitted to travel abroad for medical treatment, has joined microblogging website Twitter on Saturday.

According to the details, Nawaz Sharif’s daughter and the vice president of PML-N Maryam Nawaz ,took to Twitter to announce the news.

“Happy & privileged to announce that in order to stay connected to the people of Pakistan, MNS has decided to join Twitter. His Twitter handle is @NawazSharifMNS,” she wrote on her Twitter handle.

The development comes a day after it was announced that Nawaz will attend the opposition all parties conference (APC) via video link.

According to Nawaz Sharif’s address on the video link earlier in the APC, he said “the ‘incompetent’ PTI-led government has taken U-turn on every issue, despite being away from the Pakistan, I am well aware what people of the country are going through”.

Addressing the All Parties Conference (APC)  in Islamabad through video link from London, he said that when the vote is dishonoured, the entire democratic system becomes meaningless.

The former premier has declared that APC as a ‘turning point’ for the country stating that with the efforts majors decisions can be made with bravery.

“It was an opportunity to make important decisions as those pinning hopes to them would otherwise be disappointed,” he added.
