The National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), on Friday, has announced COVID-related restrictions for 24 COVID-affected districts, including 15 districts of Punjab, eight of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Islamabad, from 4th-12th September.
The NCOC approved restrictions after Prime Minister Imran Khan ordered necessary measures amid an upsurge in Covid-19 cases.
The new restrictions to be imposed include:
– Closure of educational institutions
– Closure of inter-city transport
– Ban on indoor and outdoor gatherings
– Closure of gyms
Among 24 districts where coronavirus restrictions would prevail are Rawalpindi, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Sheikhupura, Sialkot, Lahore, Faisalabad, Khushab, Mianwali, Bhakkar, Multan, Bahawalpur, Khanewal, Rahim Yar Khan, Swabi, Peshawar, Malakand, Swat, Haripur, Mansehra, Abbottabad, and Dera Ismail Khan.
With the persisting situation of covid-19 across the country, NCOC has decided to close schools in areas where covid is on a consistent rise.
In 8 districts of KP including Peshawar, Swabi, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Malakand, Swat, Haripur, D.I.Khan schools will remain close from 6 Sep to 11 Sep2021.
