No New Currency Notes to be Issued on Eid This Year
No new currency notes to be issued for Eid this year! This news would be disappointing for kids who wait a whole year to get cash eid gifts on the occasion of Eid.
The decision not to issue new notes on Eid-ul-Fitr 2021 has been taken to help prevent the spread of coronavirus among the general public as the currency notes can be a possible carrier of the COVID-19 virus.
The State Bank of Pakistan has decided not to issue new notes on Eid-ul-Fitr to prevent the possible spread of the global epidemic Corona.
A statement issued by the SBP said that new notes would not be issued to the public on Eid-ul-Fitr.
New notes were also not issued last year in an effort to stem the spread of the coronavirus.
It should be noted that before the Corona epidemic, SBP used to issue new currency notes on the occasion of Eid.
