No Pakistani national has died, so far, in the devastating earthquake that shook Turkiye and Syria on Monday morning, Pakistan’s Foreign Office said.

In a statement, Foreign Office Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said: “So far we have not received information about casualties. Our missions are in contact with local authorities and the Pakistani community.”

In a tweet on Wednesday, the Pakistan Embassy in Turkiye informed that “19 Pakistani students, who were present in earthquake-hit Gaziantep, have been transported and provided accommodation in Adana.”

Meanwhile, the embassy was making arrangements for them to return to Pakistan soon.
