IHC has asked Imran Khan to approach the Sessions Court

No relief for the PTI Chief from the Islamabad High Court, as the court dismissed the petition to cancel the arrest warrant of Imran Khan in the Tonshakhana Case.

The IHC has asked Imran Khan to approach the Sessions Court for suspension of warrants and ordered the lower court to issue a verdict in line with the Constitution after the submission of the undertaking. If the trial court was convinced by the undertaking, it would suspend the warrants, the court remarked.

Chief Justice Islamabad High Court Justice Aamir Farooq heard the petition of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and while dismissing the petition, asked him to present the affidavit given in the Islamabad High Court in the trial court.

The court upheld Imran Khan’s arrest warrant and said that the trial court should decide on this affidavit according to the law.

Chairman PTI’s lawyer, Khawaja Haris, while filing the application yesterday, requested to hear it on Tuesday itself, however, the Supreme Court fixed the hearing for today.

Earlier in the day the IHC reserved verdict on PTI’s plea challenging Imran Khan’s arrest warrant

The court asked Khawaja Haris whether what is happening in Lahore is right. Khawaja Haris said that what is happening in Lahore is also wrong.

Chief Justice Amir Farooq said that it is the police state, which is being pelted with stones and petrol bombs, we have children on both sides whether they are police or political party workers.

The court remarked, “Can anyone touch a policeman’s uniform in the UK?” It cannot happen there at all.
