Opposition teaming up for a grand protest after Eid

Opposition leaders have announced to launch a protest after Eid -ul -Fitr aiming to devise a joint strategy to address the problems faced by people of Pakistan on Sunday.

At a press conference following the Iftar-dinner hosted by Bilawal Bhutto at Zardari house in Islamabad, the leaders of opposition put their heads together to struck a plan to protest ‘inside and outside the house’ and holding an All Parties Conference (APC) to streamline a possible solution of the issues Pakistan is going through.

“Today we invited all the opposition leaders to this iftar-dinner and I am thankful that they came,” Bilawal said.

“We have decided to keep on meeting to discuss Pakistan’s issues and find solutions to the people’s problems,” Bilawal added while heading the meeting with political parties’ leaders.

There, at the press conference, were present 10 opposition parties’ leaders who have been invited at the iftar-dinner agreed with the speaker.

Bilawal told the attendees that JUI-F leader Maulana Fazlur Rehman has actually presented the idea to gather the opposition for an All Parties Conference (APC) to support their voice against oppression and suppress failed government plans.

The JUI-F leader Fazlur Rehman, sat next to Bilawal, confirmed the plan himself.

“Pakistan is emerging as a weak country in the world due to some incapable people ascending to power” Maulana also added “during the APC a joint strategy for all opposition parties will be identified so as to stabilise this sinking ship.”

Meanwhile, PML-N Vice President Maryam Nawaz, revised the ages old Charter of Democracy (CoD) that was signed by former prime ministers Benazir Bhutto and Nawaz Sharif, saying that the civilian governments managed to finish two successive terms because of that accord. “This had never happened before,” she added. “That Charter of Democracy did not end there. The new generation will keep on adding to it.”

She further said while acknowledging the attribute “PML-N and PPP have been arch rivals but our upbringing is such that when we become allies we also do that with full sincerity.”

The iftar-dinner was also attended by ANP leader Asfandyar Wali, JI, Liaquat Baloch and the party chiefs of PkMAP, BNP and QWP were also invited.
