In a recent turn of events, it came to light that former Oklahoma jailers charged with torturing inmates by playing ‘Baby Shark’ song.
Investigators have revealed that the world-famous children’s song “Baby Shark” was one of the ways of two former jail workers to antagonize inmates at an Oklahoma jail.
As being reported, the misdemeanor charges were filed earlier this week on Monday against former Oklahoma County jail employees Gregory Cornell Butler Jr. and Christian Charles Miles, both 21, and their supervisor, Christopher Raymond Hendershott, 50.
“It was unfortunate that I could not find a felony statute to fit this fact scenario,” Oklahoma County District Attorney David Prater said. “I would have preferred filing a felony on this behavior.”
According to the prosecutor, two former Oklahoma County jail employees forced inmates to stand handcuffed for hours and listen to the Baby Shark melody.
The Oklahoman reported that at least four inmates were secured to a wall with their hands cuffed behind them while the song played loudly on a loop for hours.
