Pak Army Lt. Nasir Khalid, three soldiers martyred in IED blast in North Waziristan

Three soldiers including a Lieutenant of Pakistan Army, Lt. Nasir Khalid, were martyred in an improvised explosive device (IED) blast in North Waziristan tribal district, on Thursday evening, Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said.

According to a statement issued by the military’s media wing, the blast took place when an IED planted along the road by militants explode near a security forces vehicle.

The martyred were identified as Lieutenant Nasir Hussain, Naik Muhammad Imran and Sepoy Usman Akhtar while the injured have been shifted to hospital for medical aid, ISPR stated.

Pakistan Army’s brave sons, who embraced martyrdom included Lieutenant Nasir Hussain Khalid – a resident of Muzaffarabad, Naik Muhammad Imran Shaheed belonged to Faisalabad while martyred soldier Usman Akhtar belonged to Rawalpindi.

The Pak Army soldiers had been deputed to guard the road construction team in the Gharium sector.

Meanwhile, the security forces have sealed the area and launched search operation, ISPR added.
