Pakistan Navy Celebrates Hangor Day Historic Event Of Sinking Indian Ship
Pakistan Navy is celebrating 49th Hangor Day on Wednesday.
The day commemorates the courage and valour of the force that sank Indian Navy Ship KHUKRI in the 1971 war. And crippled another Indian ship Kirpan.
“In recognition of the heroic act, the crew of HANGOR was decorated with 4 Sitara-e-Jurrat, 6 Tamgha-e-Jurrat, and 16 lmtia- i-Asnad. A symbol of bravery & resilience, PN Submarine Force is Alhamdulillah strong & determined to always strike at the enemy”, said Pakistan Navy in a statement.
It was the first incident after World War II that a submarine destroyed a naval warship.
Marking the Hangor Day, Pakistan Navy has released a special promo, paying tribute to martyrs and Ghazis and highlighting Pakistan Navy’s Hangor Submarine’s great success against the enemy.
