Pakistan and India have agreed to strict enforcement of the ceasefire at the Line of Control (LOC) and all other sectors, with effect from Wednesday midnight.
As being reported, the two sides reviewed the situation along the Line of Control (LoC) and all other sectors in a free, frank, and cordial atmosphere.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the DGMOs of the two countries held discussions over the established mechanism of hotline contact.
“In the interest of achieving mutually beneficial and sustainable peace along the borders, the two Directors General of Military Operations (DGMOs) agreed to address each other’s core issues and concerns which have the propensity to disturb the peace and lead to violence,” a joint statement said.
Furthermore, existing mechanisms of hotline contact and border flag meetings will be utilized to resolve any unforeseen situation or misunderstanding.
