Pakistan Army Criticizes Indian Military for Hypocrisy, Calls for End to Political Rhetoric
ISPR highlighted that instead of fabricating narratives about a terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, India should recognize the realities on the ground.

The Pakistan Army on Wednesday issued a strong condemnation of the Indian military’s recent statements, labelling them as hypocritical and politically motivated.
This response follows remarks from the Indian Army Chief, who described Pakistan as the “epicentre” of terrorism. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan characterized these allegations as unfounded and a diversion from India’s own human rights violations, particularly in the context of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
“Insinuating Pakistan as the epicentre of terrorism by the Indian Army Chief is not only contrary to facts but also an exercise in futility to beat the dead horse of India’s default position — blaming Pakistan for Indigenous reaction to state-sponsored brutality. It is a classic case of extreme duplicity,” the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said in a statement.
The ISPR criticized the Indian military for what it termed “extreme duplicity,” asserting that blaming Pakistan for Indigenous reactions to state-sponsored violence is a long-standing tactic used by India to deflect attention from its own actions in Kashmir and against minorities within its borders.
“The General Officer, in his earlier stint in IIOJK, personally oversaw the most brutal repression of Kashmiris. Such politically motivated and fallacious statements reflect the extreme politicisation of the Indian Army,” it stressed.
The statement urged the Indian military leadership to adhere to norms of civility and professionalism, rather than engaging in rhetoric aimed at garnering political support domestically. The Pakistani military emphasized that such statements reflect a politicization of military discourse in India.
The ISPR highlighted that instead of fabricating narratives about a terrorist infrastructure in Pakistan, India should recognize the realities on the ground. It pointed out that a senior Indian military officer was apprehended in Pakistan while allegedly orchestrating terrorist activities, suggesting that this fact has been ignored by Indian officials.
The Pakistani military’s statement also referenced global awareness of India’s alleged human rights abuses in Kashmir, urging the international community to recognize these issues rather than accept India’s claims uncritically.
