Pakistan Coronavirus Update: 4,062 new infections and 84 deaths reported in last 24 hours

Pakistan reports 4,062 new infections and 84 deaths in the last 24 hours!

According to the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), 63,161 tests were conducted while the positivity ratio remained 6.43 percent.

While 5,383 patients across the county are in critical condition.

The death toll due to the COVID-19 pandemic in the country has reached 26,497.

The number of positive cases has surged to 1,194,198.

Furthermore, Pakistan has reported 4,136 coronavirus recoveries during the last 24 hours, according to NCOC.

The total number of recoveries has risen to 1,076,112 and the recovery rate is 90.1 percent.

Region-wise breakdown of reported coronavirus cases and deaths is as follows:

  • Punjab: 1,798 cases, 17 deaths
  • Sindh: 1,210  cases, 43 deaths
  • Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 584 cases, 20 deaths
  • Balochistan: 24 cases
  • Islamabad: 290 cases, 2 deaths
  • AJK: 95 cases, 2 deaths
  • GB: 25 cases

951,140 vaccines administered across Pakistan on Sept 8: NCOC

As being reported, Pakistan will receive over three-and-a-half million doses of the Pfizer vaccine this week.

Over the past two weeks, Pakistan has received 6mn doses of the Pfizer vaccine.

Earlier in July, the US donated 5.5mn doses of the Moderna vaccine to Pakistan.
