Pakistan Day Parade has been cancelled after being postponed to March 25 earlier this week.
The Aiwan-e-Sadar notified of the decision on Friday without citing the reason.
The parade is held on March 23 every year however, it was earlier pushed ahead on March 25 amid the bad weather in Islamabad.
The military parade is observed each year on March 23 which is the centre of celebrations to commemorate the 1940 Lahore Resolution.
The joint services parade which used to take place at its original place Shakarparian plains was shifted to the Presidency due to economic constraints.
This year, only 300 limited guests were invited which mainly include cabinet members, diplomats, government officials and CJCSC, three services chief, senior military officers, governors and chief ministers.
President Arif Alvi was to deliver an important address after witnessing the parade with a focus on Pakistan security imperatives and Jammu and Kashmir dispute.
If plans had not been changed, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif would have been standing with the president first time to witness the parade.
