Pakistan is heading towards a two-week “overall lockdown”, Firdous Ashiq Awan

Pakistan is heading towards a two-week “overall lockdown” due to the steep rise in the coronavirus cases that has surged to 487 in the country, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said on Friday.

She made the statement in an interview to a private news channel, where she also informed that the federal government was in the process of making a key decisions relating to overseas Pakistanis and international flights.

Awan revealed that the Sindh Chief Minister Murad Ali Shah was also part of the meeting via video link where the decisions were taken.

According to her, the decisions would be publicized by the Aviation and National Security Divisions.
