Pakistan proposes KSA to include Chinese vaccines to the approved list for pilgrims
Pakistan has proposed to KSA to include some of the Chinese Covid-19 vaccines approved in Pakistan in the list of jabs accepted by the Saudi government for visitors and pilgrims.
The new Saudi Arabia vaccine condition list does not include any made-in-China shots.
Responding to queries on mandatory vaccines for travel to Saudi Arabia for visit, Hajj, and Umrah, Foreign Office spokesman Zahid Hafeez Chaudhri said Pakistan has taken up with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the issue of vaccines which are mandatory for travel to Saudi Arabia for the visit, Umrah and Hajj.
He added that the Ministry is actively pursuing this matter with the Saudi side.
Reportedly, KSA has recommended Pfizer, Oxford, Moderna, and Johnson and Johnson’s coronavirus vaccines for use.
On the other hand, most of the Pakistani citizens are being vaccinated with Chinese vaccines through the government’s vaccination program, i.e, Sinopharm, CanSino, and SinoVac. And as well as with Russian Sputnik V privately.
