Pakistan Railways converts a number of coaches into quarantine facilities

Pakistan Railways (PR) has converted more than 30 AC business and AC sleeper coaches into quarantine facilities.

Four coaches in Lahore, six in Rawalpindi, five Karachi, three in Sukkur and two in Peshawar, Multan, and Quetta, have been converted into quarantine.

According to a press release issued on Monday, Railways Minister Sheikh Rashid Ahmad and Railway Board Chairman Habib-ur-Rehman Gillani inspected the mobile quarantine coaches at Rawalpindi railway station.

All possible facilities, including oxygen cylinders, have been arranged in the isolation cabins, which can accommodate over 300 suspected patients in all, according to the press release.
