Pakistan remembers APS attack

Pakistan remembers the APS attack!

Today on Dec 16, the country observes the seventh anniversary of the terrorist attack on Army Public School Peshawar.

In the deadliest terror attack in  Pakistan’s history, 141 people including 131 schoolchildren and 10 others were martyred when armed Taliban militants stormed the school building on December 16, 2014.

Prime Minister Imran Khan, recalling one of the darkest days, in his message on the seventh anniversary of Army Public School’s tragic incident, has urged the nation to stay firmly united against the elements trying to spread discord and prejudice on sectarian, religious, and ethnic lines.

PM Imran Khan in a tweet said that there will be “zero tolerance for violence and those using it as a tool.”

PML- N leader and the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly, Shehbaz Sharif, in his message said, “December 16 will always remain a painful day for the nation, one whose memory bleeds our hearts. Have we learned any lessons & corrected our course? When will we sincerely put our heads together for a better future for our children? There are too many questions but too few answers.”

Opposition leaders including  Asif Ali Zardari and Bilawal Bhutto Zardari also paid tributes to the martyrs of the APS tragedy.

The attack had shocked the entire nation and still, the day can never be forgotten.
