Pakistan Reports 1,388 COVID-19 Cases And 75 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

Pakistan in the last 24 hours has reported 1,388 COVID-19 cases and 75 deaths.

According to the latest figures by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), after new positive COVID-19 cases the total of coronavirus cases nationwide has surged to 583,916.

While the nationwide tally of COVID-19 fatalities has jumped to 13,013 on Wednesday.

The total count of active cases in Pakistan is now 16,648.

Furthermore, in the past 24 hours, as many as 6,849 patients have recovered from the virus, while 1,561 patients are still in critical condition.

A total of 32,945 tests were conducted across the country during this period. Overall 554,225 people have recovered from the deadly disease so far while 9,055,069 samples have been tested thus far.

Meanwhile, Punjab has recorded another spike in Covid-19 fatalities with 50 deaths confirmed in the last 24 hours and 712 new cases, up from 629 a day earlier, 

Punjab’s death toll has risen to 5,441, the highest in Pakistan.

It is the second time this week that Punjab has reported more than 700 new infection cases.

Punjab’s COVIS-19 cases tally now stands at 554,255.

While the provinces of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan have collectively recorded 196 new infections while KP has also confirmed six additional fatalities.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has now a total of  72,801 cases and 2,091 deaths.

While Balochistan has a COVID-19 tally of 19,076 cases and 200 deaths.

The federal capital Islamabad has reported 174 new coronavirus infections while Azad Jammu and Kashmir have recorded 39, taking their totals to 44,690 and 10,319, respectively.

The was no facility reported in the federally administered territories.
