Pakistan Reports 1508 New COVID-19 Cases and 31 Deaths In Last 24 Hours

Pakistan in the last 24 hours has reported 1508 new COVID-19 cases and 31 deaths across the country.

With new deaths reported, the nationwide death toll has surged to 11,833 on Thursday.

According to the latest statistics of the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) with the fresh inclusion of the infections the national tally of coronavirus cases now currently stands at 550,540.

A total of 44,173 tests were conducted across the country during this period. Overall 505,818 people have recovered from the deadly disease so far while 8,085,427 samples have been tested so far.

Punjab in the past 24 hours has reported 518 new coronavirus cases and 15 deaths,  according to official figures.

Punjab has so far recorded 159,311 cases and 4,821 deaths.

Currently, the number of active cases in Punjab is 9,569, while 144,921 people have recovered.
