Pakistan reports 3,308 New Coronavirus Cases, 58 Deaths During Last 24 Hours

Pakistan has reported as many as 3,308 new coronavirus cases and 58 deaths during the last 24 hours.

There are now 53,126 active cases in the country, with 2,441 patients in critical care. The NCOC data showed 352, 529 people have recovered from COVID-19 across the country so far.

Furthermore,  41,645 tests were conducted across the country during this period. 355,012 people have recovered from the deadly disease while 5,754,986 samples have been tested thus far.

According to the National Command and Operation Centre  (NCOC), the positivity ratio of fresh Covid-19 cases stands at 7.94 percent.

As per the NCOC statement, five major cities of the country, Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Karachi, Hyderabad, and Peshawar were contributing 70 percent of coronavirus spread. 

NCOC has urged the public to follow SOPs and guidelines to curb the spread of the disease.

Punjab, during the last 24 hours has reported 662 new cases and 25 more deaths from the coronavirus.

The provincial tally of COVID-19  has surged to 122,955 while the total number of deaths has reached 3,162.

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa recorded 537 new cases, taking its total infections to 49,220.

While KP’s fatalities from Covid-19 have risen to 1,404 after five more deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours.

Meanwhile, Balochistan has reported 48 COVID19 cases, taking the provincial tally to 17,440.
