Pakistan reports 4,786 fresh COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours.
According to the latest figures issued by the National Command and Operation Center (NCOC), the country reported 73 deaths in a day by a novel coronavirus and the nationwide tally of fatalities has jumped to 24,339.
As per NCOC, the country’s number of overall confirmed cases has risen to 1,094,699, while that the positivity rate of infections was recorded at 8.09 percent.
Furthermore, Pakistan has recorded 4,343 Covid-19 recoveries over the past 24 hours.
The country has reported a total of 983,754 recoveries so far, and the recovery rate is 89.9 percent.
Region-wise breakdown of COVId-19 cases and death is as follows:
- Punjab: 1,241 cases and 22 deaths
- Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 758 cases and 16 deaths
- Balochistan: 111 new cases
- Islamabad: 571 cases, 3 deaths
- AJK: 328 cases, 2 deaths
- GB: 91 cases, 1 death
