Pakistan reports 566 new coronavirus cases, seven deaths in the past 24 hours.
On Friday, the total active COVID-19 cases in Pakistan were 7,797 as 566 more people tested positive for the deadly virus during the last 24 hours.
According to the latest update issued by the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC), seven corona patients, who were under treatment in the hospital died on Friday.
No COVID affected person was on a ventilator in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) and Balochistan, while 104 ventilators elsewhere in Pakistan, out of 1,912 allocated for COVID-19 patients, were occupied, according to NCOC.

Across the country, some 40,167 tests were conducted on Friday, including 16,976 in Sindh, 12,735 in Punjab, 4,319 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) 4,097 in Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT), 1,074 in Balochistan, 227 in Gilgit Baltistan (GB), and 739 in Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK).
Meanwhile, Pakistan has reported 593 coronavirus recoveries during the last 24 hours, according to the government’s portal for tracking the spread of the virus in the country.
The total number has risen to 295,333 while the recovery rate is 95.4 percent.
