Pakistan reports the highest daily COVID-19 cases in more than 3 months!
Citizens seem to be not taking the COVD-19 fifth wave threat seriously as Carona cases and casualties related to it continue to rise across the country with an obvious surge in Omicron variant cases.
On Wednesday, Pakistan has recorded the highest number of coronavirus infections — 2,074 cases.
As per the National Command and Operations Centre’s (NCOC) data, Pakistan last reported 24, 2021, more than three months ago, in September.
The COVID positivity rate has now surged to 4.70% and overall infection cases have jumped past 1.309 million.
The country has also registered 13 deaths in the last 24 hours, the highest since December 15, 2021, pushing the death toll to 28,987.

- Balochistan: 3 cases
- Islamabad: 165 cases
- Gilgit Baltistan: 0 cases
- Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 7 cases
