Pakistan on Friday has reported more than 3,000 COVID-19 cases for the third consecutive day.
According to the data from the government’s portal for tracking the spread of the virus in the country, in the last 24 hours, Pakistan has reported 3,113 cases of the novel coronavirus.
The highest number of cases were reported by Sindh, followed by Punjab.
Meanwhile, the country has reported 1,489 coronavirus recoveries during the last 24 hours.
The total has risen to 335,881 while the recovery rate is 86.3 percent.
Following is the number of cases reported by each region over the past 24 hours:
Sindh: 1,402 cases
Punjab: 654 cases
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa: 453 cases
Balochistan: 66 cases
Islamabad: 425cases
Gilgit-Baltistan: 15 cases
Azad Jammu and Kashmir: 98 cases
As per the National Command and Operation Centre (NCOC) on Friday, Peshawar has reported the highest number of recurrence in coronavirus positive cases followed by Karachi and Hyderabad.
In a meeting of the NCOC, held under the chairmanship of Planning Minister Asad Umar, the officials shared the data indicating that Peshawar has the highest percentage of COVID-19 positive cases with 19.65%.
Karachi falls in the second number with 17.73% while Hyderabad has been rated at third place with 16.32%, it further added.
