Pakistan successfully tests surface to surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi

Amidst rising tensions between India and Pakistan and an impending threat of a nuclear war, Pakistan successfully tested its surface to surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi last night.

“Pakistan successfully carried out night training launch of surface to surface ballistic missile Ghaznavi, capable of delivering multiple types of warheads upto 290 KMs. CJCSC & Services Chiefs congrat team. President & PM conveyed appreciation to team & congrats to the nation,” tweeted DG ISPR Asif Ghafoor announcing the successful test.

According to the tweet, Ghaznavi is capable of delivering multiple types of warheads up to 290km.

The move comes after Pakistan’s prime minister had hinted at a probable nuclear confrontation between India and Pakistan if a push came to shove over the Kashmir Issue. Pakistan would be forced to respond in case of an Indian attack the PM had said stating, “And then you are looking at two nuclear-armed countries eyeball to eyeball, and anything can happen.”
