Pakistan to Start COVID-19 Vaccination Drive from Next Week

Pakistan will start the COVID-19 vaccination drive from next week with the front-line health workers, informed Asad Umar on Wednesday.

The Federal Minister for Planning, Development, and Special Initiatives Asad Umar took to social media sharing the update with the nation. He said stating, “The system for vaccination is in place. Hundreds of vaccination centres in the country will be administering the covid vaccine. Inshallah, the vaccination of front line health workers will start next week.”

Earlier in the day, a comprehensive plan to administer the vaccine for the Covid-19 across the country to curb the pandemic’s spread was unveiled by the National Command and Control Centre (NCOC).

At the meeting of NCOC held today in Islamabad, the vaccination plan was given approval after taking all the provinces and other stakeholders on board.

As being reported, the first batch of Chinese pharma Sinopharm’s Covid vaccine would be arriving in Pakistan on Sunday.

China has pledged a donation of 500,000 doses of coronavirus vaccine to Pakistan.
