As per a recent tweet shared by the Minister for Science and Technology, Pakistan will be ready to send its first person to space in the year 2022.
The minister tweeted today that he was proud to announce that the selection process for the Pakistani to be sent to space will begin from February 2020.
“Fifty people will be shortlisted — list will then come down to 25 and in 2022 we will send our first person to space,” wrote Fawad Chaudhry.
If work has already started on the mission, this will indeed be a milestone for Pakistan and the biggest space event in the history of Pakistan.
