Pakistani Student Listed Amongst Forbes ’30 Under 30′ Asia 2020 List

Here comes another feather in the hat of success for Pakistani students studying abroad.

Bilal Bin Saqib, a Lahori, who recently graduated from the London School of Economics has been featured in Forbes magazine’s coveted 30 under 30 list.po

Bilal was featured in the magazine because of his project that focuses on providing clean water to thousands of people in Sindh and Baluchistan.

“I am honored that I was able to make Pakistan proud. I have been chosen by Forbes for helping the water-deprived communities in Pakistan,” said Bilal while talking to the media about his accomplishment.

Bilal’s social organization named “Tayaba” provides clean water to the people of Pakistan. One of the most significant initiatives of the organization is the “H2O wheel,” a plastic wheel that assists to reduce the burden on women and children carrying water in rural areas of Pakistan.

With a focus to crack Pakistan’s water problems, Saqib lauched this project four years ago to help the rural women in the country alleviate the heavy burden they carry when bringing water back to their homes and also increases its water carrying capacity.

“The idea originated when I traveled to West Africa, where people were pushing water in plastic containers with steel bars attached,” shared Bilal adding that his organization has helped almost 5500 families by providing them with an H20 wheel in rural areas of Sindh, up till now.

Saqib has also been awarded “Highly Commended Masters Student of the Year 2019” by FindAMasters, a global database for Masters degree programs. This award was presented to Bilal Bin Saqib for the contributions he made on his campus.
