Pakistani teacher Ahmed Saya wins Cambridge University’s Dedicated Teacher Awards 2019

A proud moment for Pakistan, as Pakistani teacher Ahmed Saya wins Cambridge University’s Dedicated Teacher Awards 2019. He is a teacher from Cordoba School for A level in Karachi, Pakistan.

The news was shared on social media by the Cambridge University.

The announcement on twitter said, “We are pleased to announce the winner of the 2019 Dedicated Teacher Award goes to… Ahmed Saya from Cordoba School for A Level in Pakistan. Well done to Ahmed and all our finalists!”.


It was last week, the Cambridge Education, in a tweet told that Saya was one of the six teachers from across the world who were shortlisted for the award.

As being reported, Ahmed Saya teaches accounting at the Cordoba School for A Level in Karachi. He started his teaching career when he was in ninth grade.

He has been teaching mathematics and accounting to O and A level student for the past 18 years. He has completed his ACCA, MBA and received a BS degree in applied accounting from Oxford Brookes University.

While talking to media Ahmed Saya shared, “It’s an honor and achievement from me and for my country that I have been shortlisted from teachers in 140 countries”.
