Pakistani Top Chef contestant Fatima Ali, who recently made rounds of news fighting cancer with a cheerful persona, lost her battle to the deadly disease and was laid to rest in Lahore, Pakistan, on Friday.
Twenty-nine-year-old Fatima daughter of former attorney general Ashtar Ausaf Ali was buried at the Bagh-e-Rehmat graveyard near DHA’s Bhatta Chowk with her close friends and family, along with some prominent personalities of Pakistan attending the funeral.
Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khosa as well as former CJP Mian Saqib Nisar, were also present amongst the attendees of Fatima’s funeral.
Fatima Ali, a prominent contestant of Top Chef, was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer, Ewing’s sarcoma and breathed her last on the 25th of January. Condolences poured in from around the world and celebrities all over.
“I was lucky to share this visit with Fatima. I wish I could have shared more. Sending so much love to her family. I hope they find comfort in knowing how much light she brought to the world,” Ellen DeGeneres stated.
